I’m keeping up with the hot weather in London and decided to put out a small video of a brand new groove. I hope it makes you dance a little and smile!
I’ve been listening to a lot of Reggae and Motown recently and tried to get those influences into this groove.
The Second Sons are starting to get regular slots at The Cavern in Wimbledon and my my, what smashing gigs they are.
We played a blistering 90 minute set full of our old and new songs, yesterday. The venue was full and the crowd was wowed!

The Second Sons had a FAB gig yesterday at Esher Rugby Club for their beer and cider festival! Take a look at our stage setup…! Definitely an interesting one!

I had a great time session-ing for Bella McKendree. We played at The Islington and it was a really intimate show and vibe! Stay tuned for more gigs and her album! She’s putting the finishing touches on that and hopefully it’ll be ready and out soon!

Here I am on bass with Lyra playing at one of my favourite events in London, The North End Road Market! What a day too!
So for the the last two days, I tracked bass on 9 out 10 tracks for Bella McKendree’s new album! 2 DAYS FOR AN ALBUM…that’s some serious work! I laid down some groovy tracks and some pretty nice fills (my opinion) and the whole band sounded spectacular! I can’t wait for it to be finished!
P.s. for recording, if available, definitely use a 5 string bass! Those low B’s, C’s and D’s add so much depth and energy to songs when used sparingly! My 5 got me out of some tricky not stretches too…so that’s always a bonus when recording!
