So for the the last two days, I tracked bass on 9 out 10 tracks for Bella McKendree’s new album! 2 DAYS FOR AN ALBUM…that’s some serious work! I laid down some groovy tracks and some pretty nice fills (my opinion) and the whole band sounded spectacular! I can’t wait for it to be finished!

P.s. for recording, if available, definitely use a 5 string bass! Those low B’s, C’s and D’s add so much depth and energy to songs when used sparingly! My 5 got me out of some tricky not stretches too…so that’s always a bonus when recording!

Take a look at my quick insta video of the studio!

There are some big things on the way! Bella McKendree is going to be recording an album and I’ll be laying down the bass. We had a long rehearsal on the weekend just gone and I have to say, this album will be great! She’s got some brand new tunes and we’re going to remaster and change up some old songs too! Can’t wait to show you!

Well, Acklam Village Market was a joy to play! The United Kingdom was on point and the good news is, we are back there 30th June. It’s the first time I’ve played there and I’m really looking forward to getting back there!

Check out this awesome picture with a cool background.

Here’s my INCREDIBLE setup for last night’s gig with Emily Faye! The tones from this combo are mind blowing. Pics on the way soon!

I’ve been into the studio!! I laid down some grooving bass for The United Kingdom! We have two new records being mastered as I type and I can’t wait to share them with you. We recorded at Buffalo Studios in Limehouse…WHAT A PLACE!

Our photographer took some wicked snaps of myself playing a Hofner bass, a first for me! The bass sounds great and the tracks are superb! STAY TUNED!

Thanks to David Whayman for the snaps!

My new Jazz trio – The Afternoon Project, went into the studio on Sunday to get a showreel of live jazz tunes recorded. What a day! Credit to these guys too, what wonderful musicians they are.
