My new Jazz trio – The Afternoon Project, went into the studio on Sunday to get a showreel of live jazz tunes recorded. What a day! Credit to these guys too, what wonderful musicians they are.

The United Kingdom just uploaded the live version of ‘Tomorrow’s Supposed to Rain’ from the SURYA gig and it’s really really great! This footage is awesome and I hope you like it!
I took on a last minute gig last night (27th September) to perform with Bella McKendree in The Star by Hackney Downs! I haven’t played a stage that small in a while but it was a huge success.

I’ve been focusing on my upright bass playing, y’know, gotta keep working! It’s a Jazz standard in 3/4 and I’m working on getting my walking technique fluid and clean.

So I’ve been searching for challenging songs and I think may have the pinnacle of challenging for the time being! The tune is by Tania Maria and it’s utterly ridiculous! Here’s an instagram video of me learning it!

So I’ve had an eventful few days! I’ve done some recording with The Second Sons which is sounding out of this world. We have a gig, 23rd November – The Dublin Castle – Doors 7pm.Β
I’ve performed a nice ‘chilled’ set at The Natural History Museum for the opening of the Ice Rink there with Emily Faye.
I’ve been busking all over the London Underground too and it’s nice to see my original music getting such kind comments.
We’re busy rehearsing for the 7th May at the Borderline!
