I JUST HAD THE BEST WEEKEND EVER
Emily Faye played Rochdale’s ‘Feel Good Festival’ and damn, what a crowd! I estimate around 2k in the audience, hard to tell but we played a super set! I just wish we could play it again, right now!
I’m keeping up with the hot weather in London and decided to put out a small video of a brand new groove. I hope it makes you dance a little and smile!
I’ve been listening to a lot of Reggae and Motown recently and tried to get those influences into this groove.
The Second Sons SMASHED The Troubadour! Here’s so SUPER footage from Eskile Photography! This song is called Mile and I have to say, it’s one of my faves!
It’s been gig after gig after gig recently! The Second Sons, SMASHED the gig at The Cavern. The turnout was spectacular and our new material went down a storm! I even got TWO bass solos! Check out these awesome pics from our mate, Tom Gold!
WHERE DO I START? I MEAN, REALLY?
First of all, MEGA THANKS TO GRETA VAN FLEET for having us join them on the road! You guys are incredible and I hope we play together again!
The Second Sons’ first tour was such a success. We played in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London and we just had the best time EVER. Here’s a super thanks to EVERYBODY involved on the tour. I’ve never seen so many photos of the band or spoken to so many after a show, or shaken so many hands!
Take at look at some of my fave photos from the tour from photographers, friends and gig-goers!
See you at the next one!!

PHOTO TIME
Here are some photos from Emily’s video shoot! I don’t think I’ve ever looked so country?!
HUGE thanks to Gill and Gee media for these!
I had the pleasure of trekking all the way across London with my Alembic Classico and it was VERY worth it. I was in a video shoot for Emily Faye’s new single, ‘Giving In’.
Here’s a very cool snap that is from yesterday! There’s no wrong time or place to get a practice in!
The video should be out in the first week of April so I’ll keep you posted!
My new Jazz trio, The Afternoon Project, has its first gig in London on Sunday 11th March. We’re playing a bar in Soho, Norman’s Coach and Horses (I’m so close to Ronnie’s, I think it’s the next street). We’re playing two sets and I’ll be using my NS Omnibass because it’s light and portable. It still gives that great upright bass sound. It’s fantastic. Here’s a photo from my rehearsal the other night.
The Second Sons blew away the audience On Wednesday 7th March at The Monarch in Camden.
What a set and what a show! Thanks to Tim Russell for these two snaps! They really capture my excitement and joy of playing music.
