January has been exciting, which is wonderful but surprising. I’ve always assumed January is a rather slow month, but for me, it’s been full of gigs, work and releases.

I recorded on an album last year at RAK Studios London with the special Bella McKendree and she’s just dropped it! Please do check it out and support her! She’s unique and her music will take you places you’ve never been before! It’s a really great listening experience!

It’s amazing to think this is my FIRST album ever too! Super great to get my awesome Alembic recorded too! Maybe it’ll make history, who knows?!

Enjoy!

So for the the last two days, I tracked bass on 9 out 10 tracks for Bella McKendree’s new album! 2 DAYS FOR AN ALBUM…that’s some serious work! I laid down some groovy tracks and some pretty nice fills (my opinion) and the whole band sounded spectacular! I can’t wait for it to be finished!

P.s. for recording, if available, definitely use a 5 string bass! Those low B’s, C’s and D’s add so much depth and energy to songs when used sparingly! My 5 got me out of some tricky not stretches too…so that’s always a bonus when recording!

Take a look at my quick insta video of the studio!

The United Kingdom have another single out and ready to stream! It’s called, ‘Tomorrow’s Supposed to Rain’. I’m super proud of everybody involved, what a sound. Thanks to Buffalo Studios in Limehouse for tracking and recording us.

I found a Spyro Gyra vinyl in the local charity shop, I took a gamble on it…anyway, what a great decision that was!! My latest groove of the week is inspired by one of their tunes, ‘Leticia’.

One of the many dream teams!

THAT BASS THO!!!

I never once thought I’d be lucky enough to own one Alembic, let alone 4…?!

I don’t have a favourite and they are all tools for different jobs but let me say one thing, this 5 string just shakes the walls!!

This snap is from a rehearsal last night with a fairly new band that will get off the ground, I’m excited to see what’s going to happen!
